catching up, again.
It feels as though the weeks until I meet my daughter are dragging. But then I look back on the past few months and realize how fast time is going after all. For example, the last time I blogged was in February.
In my mind, I’ve written plenty of blog posts! There have been ultrasounds, appointments, a baby shower, a half marathon, short trips, feels about my daughter growing away in someone else’s belly and any other number of thoughts that at one point had been written as posts in my brain. Now it’s all a bit mushy.
To catch up on the past few months:
Baby girl is growing perfectly; we’ve hit the 32-week mark. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??!! So awesome and so surreal.
The house of Robinson still has not done much to get our sweet bean’s nursery ready. With the first baby shower and the arrival of her dresser, I was finally prompted to get her dressed filled with clean clothes, diapers, wipes, hair bows, tinsy socks and little shoes. What more does a girl need?
Oh! We had maternity photos taken with our GC. I will post those when they are ready; we just had them done this past weekend!
Edder is trying to get as caught up on work as possible so he can take a few weeks off once baby girl arrives (and by that I mean work from home as much as possible the first few weeks after she’s born).
I had planned on running several half marathons this spring, but per my usual style, I injured myself during my first half-marathon of the season. I chalk it up to being old and under trained, my general approach of course. I have tendinitis. I’ll live. No more half marathons until this fall most likely. Doesn’t bother me.
Regarding my work. I’ve been scaling down clients and am not taking on any new jobs. I have a few clients that I love to work with and that I will keep through summer and maternity leave.
Lastly, with our 13-year Anniversary coming up, we jumped at the chance to go to Mexico before we dive into parenthood. It’s a much, much, much needed week away; the past few years have been exhausting, to say the least.
That sums up the highlights. Now that I’m slowing down with clients I may blog a bit more…. It’s a lovely thought anyway.
